organized its production and distribution in Europe as follows.
KOMATSU UK, Great Britain, manufactures medium-sized crawler excavators.
KOMATSU Hanomag,
founded in 1835 and a KOMATSU company since
1989, manufactures compact and medium-size
wheel loaders of 54 to 353 hp and wheeled
excavators from 14 to 22 tons.
KOMATSU Utility Europe manufactures a whole range of small compact equipment
such as: Backhoe Loaders, Skid Steer Loaders, Mini Excavators, Medium-sized Crawler and Wheeled Excavators and compact Loaders.
Production of 10,000 units per year indicates to high market share in Europe.
KOMATSU Forest is the manufacturer of Valmet forest machines and a pioneer
in the area of mechanized logging, and therefore a part of the KOMATSU corporation.
KOMATSU Mining Germany was founded in 1996 as a joint venture between
Demag KOMATSU and Mannesmann KOMATSU Ltd., Japan in order to develop, manufacture and supply the World market with super large
hydraulic mining shovels.
In 1999 it was renamed as KOMATSU Mining Germany GmbH and concentrates on the development and manufacturing of extremely large
hydraulic mining shovels which prove their efficiency by their presence in mines all over the World.
